The Author: Travis Mossotti -
Travis Mossotti graduated with degrees in English and French from Webster University and a MFA in poetry from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He has been a faculty lecturer at the University of California Santa Cruz and McKendree University, and his poetry continues to appear widely. Mossotti was awarded the James Hearst Poetry Prize from the North American Review in 2009, and his poem “Decampment” was adapted to screen in 2010 as an animated short film. His first collection of poems, About the Dead, was awarded the 2011 May Swenson Poetry Award by contest judge Garrison Keillor and will be published next month by Utah State University Press. Mossotti currently resides in Kirkwood with his wife, Regina.
